Alanna Higgins Joyce, MD, MPH, MST, is an attending pediatrician in the Division of Hospital-Based Medicine at Lurie Children’s, caring for hospitalized children and newborns. She is an Associate Professor at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine and has published and spoken nationally in the areas of medical education, faculty feedback, and curriculum development. 

Alanna holds an MD and an MPH from Tulane University and completed residency training in Pediatrics at the former Children’s Memorial Hospital in Chicago. She has a Master of Science in Teaching and experience teaching middle-school science. Alanna earned her bachelor’s degree in cognitive science from Northwestern University. She is a mother of three boys and a lifelong ballet dancer.

Dr. Higgins Joyce sees patients at Lurie Children’s – main hospital location and Prentice Women’s Hospital at Northwestern Medicine.

Ravi Jhaveri, MD, FIDSA, FPIDS, FAAP, is the Division Head of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Lurie Children’s and Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.  

Prior to joining Lurie Children’s, he spent time on the faculty at both Duke and UNC School of Medicine.

Dr. Jhaveri’s research spans many aspects of Hepatitis C virus, with a particular focus on the burden, clinical outcomes, and treatment of HCV in infants, children, and pregnant women.   He currently serves on the AASLD/IDSA HCV Guidelines Panel as well as the AASLD Viral Hepatitis Elimination Task Force.  He also has an interest in vaccination of both healthy children and those with immunocompromised conditions. 

Dr. Jhaveri is a Fellow of the Infectious Diseases Society of America. In addition, he is a Fellow of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society, where he served on the PIDS Board of Directors from 2015-2019. Dr. Jhaveri is also the former Chair of the IDSA Standards and Practice Guidelines committee.

He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief for the Journal of the Pediatric Infectious Diseases Society (JPIDS) and formerly served as one of the Co-Editors-in-Chief for the journal Clinical Therapeutics.

Speech-Language Pathologist; Pediatric Feeding Therapist; Certified Lactation Counselor

Catherine is a speech-language pathologist, pediatric feeding therapist, and certified lactation counselor with 20 years of experience working with infants and children in a medical setting. 

She holds an undergraduate degree in Biology from Marquette University, and a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Catherine has been an employee of Lurie Children’s for over 17 years. In her current role, Catherine performs video fluoroscopic swallow studies and evaluates and treats infants in the NICU, PICU, and General Medicine Units in the main hospital, and in the NICU at Silver Cross Hospital.

In 2025, Catherine authored a book published by the American Academy of Pediatrics called Baby Leads the Way: An Evidence-Based Guide to Introducing Solid Foods.

Ms. Callahan sees patients at Lurie Children’s main location and at Silver Cross Hospital.

Occupational Therapist

Prabha is an occupational therapist and sensory feeding specialist with over 25 years of experience working with babies and children in both inpatient and outpatient medical settings. She holds an undergraduate degree in Applied Human Sciences with a specialization in Therapeutic Recreation from Concordia University, in Montreal, Canada and a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Rush University, Chicago. 

After 10 years of working as an inpatient Child Life Specialist at La Rabida Children’s Hospital, Prabha pursued her graduate study in occupational therapy to further her interest in pediatrics. She continued working at La Rabida Children’s Hospital in her new role as an Occupational Therapist and collaborated with Mercy Hospital to support feeding and sensory-motor development for newborns and mothers in the special care nursery. In this role, she provided education to new parents whose infants were experiencing feeding, motor, and developmental challenges. She also provided hands-on training to staff and parents to promote care for medically fragile babies prior to discharge.

Prabha has been with Lurie Children’s for over 13 years. Her current roles include supporting the multidisciplinary feeding and the early childhood NICU follow-up clinics. She also treats children in the outpatient setting, specializing in sensory feeding concerns and developmental delays in children ranging from birth to 15 years of age.

Ms. Pande sees patients at Lurie Children’s main location.

Duri Yun, MD, MPH, is an attending physician in the Division of Dermatology at Lurie Children’s and an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics and Dermatology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, where she has been a faculty member since 2017. She completed a combined undergraduate, medical degree, and MPH program at the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2008. 

Dr. Yun completed her Pediatrics residency at the University of Chicago, where she developed a focused interest in pediatric dermatology. Thereafter, she went on to complete a Dermatology residency at the University of Chicago, followed by a Pediatric Dermatology fellowship at the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago. After completing her fellowship, Dr. Yun joined on as faculty at Lurie Children’s, where she has specialized in both inpatient and outpatient pediatric dermatology and is part of the Multidisciplinary Pediatric Vascular Lesion Center team.

Dr. Yun spends half of her clinical time on inpatient dermatology consults and the other half in outpatient care. She is committed to improving access to dermatologic services for children across the Chicagoland area.

She sees patients at the main hospital location in Chicago as well as at Lurie Children’s Outpatient Centers in Lincoln Park and Uptown.

Rishi Agrawal, MD, MPH, is a Professor of Pediatrics at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.  He is an attending physician in the Division of Hospital Based Medicine based at La Rabida Children's Hospital. He delivers complex and chronic care to children with disabilities, chronic conditions, and medical complexity. He focuses on challenges in financing, delivering, and coordinating care across a vast continuum that includes hospital systems, primary care, home health, and other settings.  

Dr. Agrawal received his medical degree at Northwestern University, 2001. He continued with the postgraduate training by residency in pediatrics at Children’s Memorial Hospital 2001-2004.

Dr. Agrawal teaches medical and graduate students and conducts research with an emphasis on health policy and systems with a focus on children with disabilities.  He serves as the Chair of the American Academy of Pediatrics Council on Children with Disabilities.  

Dr. Agrawal sees inpatients at La Rabida Children’s Hospital.
